Covid 19 immunity booster program
Introduction :
We all know that prevention is better than cure. While there is no medicine for COVID-19 as of now, it will be good to take preventive measures which boost our immunity in these times. The Kerala Government is giving a big push to the homeopathic medicine as an immunity booster and has distributed it to around 45 lakh people across the state. This comes as country reels under the surging coronavirus cases.
It has successfully managed epidemic outbreaks of Dengue fever, Chikungunya, Typhoid, Chicken pox and many other epidemics in the state. Its effectiveness in the management of viral diseases has proved beyond doubt many a time. Homoeopathy, being one of the most sought after alternative system of medicine all over the world, is also being looked upon by many governments including India for prevention and management of COVID-19. On this ground in Maharashtra we started the to distribute medicine and campaigning the homeopathy immunity booster medicine.
Program goal:
Program goal lead to care and promote with awareness generation among people, we recommends the follow self-care guidelines for preventive health measures and Homeopathy boosting immunity medicine with special reference to respiratory health, we can all work on boosting our immunity with the help of homeopathy. Homeopathic medicine for immunity helps boost your immune system from within and protect against infections like coronavirus
Program report:
Information about the conduct of covid 19 immunity booster program and camps is widely canvassed by Women and Child Welfare VCS well in advance. These camps are organized in coordination with the homeopathy doctors and their team keeping time and other constraints in mind. Through these Activities, VCS ensures that such programs reach maximum number of people.
Homeopathic medicines have been extensively used for flu-like symptoms and in pandemics around the world, in the past. When the swine flu epidemic had hit us, over 9417 people at Dr Batra’s were given free preventive homeopathic medicines for swine flu, and not even a single patient reported with the deadly disease. Gelsemium and Bryonia were the two homeopathic remedies that proved to be effective against the H1N1 strain.
To conduct homeopathy immunity booster medicine distribution program at slums areas of North Nagpur and given the homeopathy medicine to reduce the risk maximum.
Evaluation:
As a result, many now believe that homeopathic pills called Arsenicum album 30 increase the body’s natural defence mechanism. Since none of the homeopathic drugs has been scientifically demonstrated to produce proven action on cells and its receptors, the Central Council of Homeopathy (CCRH) uses a wide-range mechanism of action review to prove that the homeopathy drugs indeed work in the claimed manner. This paper regularly quoted by CCRH claims to ‘review’ the hypotheses about homeopathic drug action at the cellular and molecular levels.
Homeopathy has allegedly considered a method to activate or ‘boost’ the inherent or innate immunity of the person by consuming Arsenicum album 30 pills, which may incur the strength to our bodies to fight against external pathogens such as the coronavirus.
These claims of homeopathy treatment were made on the basis of studies conducted in the human population that claimed to show a change in the expression of proteins such as inflammatory mediators and cytokines. The proteins are released in the body, and largely measured in the blood. The quantity of these proteins in the blood shows the extent of an existing infection or inflammation. Their release also shows a functional immune system and a reduced release during an active infection could show some immune-suppression because of disease or external drugs.
Conclusion:
There is no scientific evidence that the drug works against Covid-19, a fact stressed not only by medical scientists but by some homeopathic practitioners themselves. The state government also claimed that 99.6 per cent of people who availed AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) remedies as prophylaxis during their quarantine period tested negative for. In their finding, which was shared with the media, the health department said “AYUSH interventions have proven to be immunity boosters and the AYUSH treatment protocol was developed and a research carried out for assessing efficacy of treatment. As many as 33,268 people benefited from AYUSH medicines in the quarantine period, half of whom availed homoeopathic medicines.
The state government claimed that 99.69 per cent of people who availed AYUSH remedies as prophylaxis during their quarantine period tested negative for coronavirus.
