OUTPUT OF THE PROJECT :

The executive committee will undertake project reviews after eight months of project completion in line with project monitoring plan. The project reviews will focus on project progress, challenges encountered during previous semester and achievements. Towards end of the project an external evaluation is planned by a resource expert from Youthtrain Foundation. The evaluation will assess the impact of the project as per initial project framework. It will also identify the gaps and provide recommendations to be considered for similar future projects.
For the project:
- It possible to begin to conceptualize different employer in order of improving employability skills needed to supply the targeted labor market
- The project enable beneficiaries to identify perceptions of employment skills and address any mismatch with that of employer
For the Beneficiaries:
- They recognize the importance of all employability skills
- Identify needs to work independently
- Learn to how to work under pressure
- Have a concept about adaptability and to apply attention to detail
- Have the ability be able to handle responsibility and make decisions;
- Be able to plan, coordinate and organize at their workplace.
- Some had developed meta-skills such as self-analysis, use of feedback, ability to reflect and then become more aware of one’s skills and knowledge.
- We have conceptualized this as career management skills. We anticipate that the finding from the project will be that all students will leave with at least some ideas of the ways in which the course contribute to building employability.
- The opportunity for dialogue with peers and staff will be invaluable for generating valuable insights the beneficiaries.
- One of our key learning points is about how to offer opportunities for reflection and dialogue about employability skills for students. This will take place at key points throughout the programme.
DRAWBACKS OF THE PROJECT:
- Contain of life skills and employability skills are almost similar, instate of two different book you
can merge the contain and make a single book - The activity that are mention in the manual are not up to mark, it is very important to improve
contain and activity of the manual. Instate of story telling you can include more game and more
activity which will improve the participant s of the students more. - Lack of proper communication from quest alliance.
- If we got the workbooks on time, than the programme could be more effective.
- The programme should be on continuing basis.
CONCLUSION :
One way to address the shortfall in the overall awareness of employability skills of young professionals wanting to enter the labour market, is to embed employability skill training into the final years of education be that at school leaving, graduate or undergraduate level, making it more consistently visible. The intended outcomes of this will be to widen the beneficiaries’ awareness of their own skills, their ability to self-reflect, be self-aware, and to demonstrate the range of possible employability skills. This together with the technical knowledge already learn through education will provide these young professionals with a more secure foundation to start their career.
